The 49th International Film Festival of India has announced the selection of Indian Panorama films for the year, 2018. The films will be screened in Goa. The Jury has selected the 22 Feature films.
Four Mainstream films are also selected under the Indian Panorama Section. Guess what, a Telugu movie is also going to get screened at the Film Festival. It is none other than Nag Ashwin’s directorial ‘Mahanati’. Touted to be the biopic of legendary actress Savitri who ruled the South Film Industry for so many decades, Keerthy Suresh played the lead role and delivered an outstanding performance which greatly impressed the audience. The film became a super hit in both Telugu and Tamil languages. Dulquer Salman played the role of Gemini Ganesan whereas Naga Chaitanya appeared as Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
Samantha Akkineni and Vijay Deverakonda also played vital roles in the film. Bollywood movies ‘Padmaavat’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and ‘Raazi’ are also going to get screened in the Film Festival.
