With the revolution of social media, we have been witnessing several incidents of fake social media accounts getting created in the name of film stars to spread maligning and false information.
Bollywood actress Rani Mukherjee’s fake twitter handle has now hit headlines after posting the photos of actress’s daughter Adira. Soon those pictures went viral as fans believed that they were real first pictures of filmmaker Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji’s daughter, Adira.
As soon as Rani Mukerji got aware of this, she informed the officials of Twitter and the handle “iamranichopra” had been deleted. Later, Rani Mukerji’s spokesperson has released this official statement to convey the actress has no social media account on her name.
“This is to inform you that Rani Mukerji is not on any social media platform and has never been. There are several fake accounts that keep cropping up, and we would like to request you not to pay any heed to them or the content they put up as it is all fake”.
