Rajinikanth’s ‘Rana’ delayed!

Super star Rajinikanth’s triple role film "Rana" shooting has been delayed, the movie shooting was supposed to take off on April 18, but now it has been postponed by a week due to the delay in the art work of the film. However the proper reason for the delay is not yet known exactly.

As per the sources the movie producers Soundarya Rajinikanth and Eros said that the delay is due to the Art work and team is erecting a huge and well-designed set at AVM Studios and the set reflects the era of 17th century. The other source from Mumbai says that Rajinikanth didn’t like the make-up look of Deepika Padukone opposite to Young Rajinikanth in the film. Super star Rajinikanth requested the make-up team to take time to make proper look for Deepika.

In this film Rajinikanth is playing the triple roles. Deepika Padukone has been confirmed so far for the one of the female lead roles in this film. Movie makers are still waiting to finalize the other two heroines. So far many names were under scanner, but not yet decided.

It will be directed by KS Ravi Kumar. This movie will be a joint venture between Eros International and Ocher Studios. The film will feature cinematography by R. Rathnavelu and music will score by A. R. Rahman.

Hopefully the movie shooting will starts from next Monday (April 25th, 2011).
