Producer PVP has approached the Film Producers Council complaining that director Vamsi Paidipally has broken the agreement they had earlier made.
It is known that Vamsi has directed Nagarjuna and Karthi starrer ‘Oopiri’ movie for PVP banner. Despite the successful run at box office, Oopiri failed to recover the investment as makers spent lavishly on the project. In this view, Vamsi has reportedly agreed to direct another film in the banner.
A formal announcement on Vamsi-PVP’s film with Mahesh Babu was also made earlier. However, in a dramatic turn of events, Vamsi has recently announced that his project with Mahesh will be produced by Dil Raju and Ashwini Dutt.
Now, PVP has approached Council and demanded that either Vamsi does his immediate next film in his banner or pay the losses incurred for Oopiri.
Vamsi is yet to respond.
