Puri Jagannadh is also known for launching star kids and directing them. Ram Charan was introduced by Puri Jagannadh in 2007 by the film Chirutha while Sandal Wood star hero Puneeth Rajkumar was launched in 2002 with a film called Appu.

This time around he will be launching a politician son as a hero. Ex-PM Deva Gowda grandson, Ex-Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy son Nikil Gowda will be the one who will be launched this time.
Though Nikil Gowda should be launched a long time ago with the remake of Telugu film Leader things didn’t work out then. This time, he planned of launching himself with a mass film. In the process, Nikil Gowda chose Puri Jagannadh to direct him.
Puri, who is currently shooting Rouge with Naga Babu’s son Varun Tej, will be launching Nikil Gowda once the film is completed.
