Seems like love for biopic’s hasn’t gone over Priyanka Chopra. As per sources, Priyanka Chopra could play the role of Kalpana Chawla (the first Indian women astronaut in space) in her biopic. Viacom 18 Motion Pictures production house will be producing this film.
Priyanka Chopra was recently seen in a biopic called Mary Kom, that was based on the real-life incidents of Indian Women Wrestler Mary Kom. This film brought her good name for portraying such difficult character. This movie went on to win many film and International awards, including the National Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
With the success that Mary Kom has given, Priyanka once accepted another real life character. This time, it was from the history. Priyanka will be playing the role of Kashibai- the first wife of Maratha Peshwa Bajirao. Though this isn’t a full-length biopic, crucial phase of Kashibai will be seen in this. Priyanka Chopra has said that ‘I thought of quitting from ‘Bajirao Mastani,’ it was the toughest character in my career’ regarding Kashibai’s role.
And now, the rumour has that Priyanka Chopra will be seen playing the role of astronaut Kalpana Chawla. Kalpana Chawla is an Indian astronaut who hails from Haryana. She died in her second expedition in February 2003.
