The first look of Priyanka Chopra’s much-anticipated film Mary Kom has been leaked. Have a look at Priyanka Chopra’s Look In Mary Kom.
Priyanka Chopra, who’ll essay the role of World Boxing champion MC Mary Kom in the biopic, can be seen in a boxing ring in the stills that have been released.
Reportedly, the make-up artists had a tough time designing Priyanka’s look for the movie.
A Make-up artist was quoted saying, “Yes we did have a tough time designing her look. Since Mary Kom ma’am belongs to North East, we had to ensure that Priyanka ma’am looked the same. The portion surrounding the eyes and cheeks had to be highlighted to match to Mary Kom ma’am look.”
“The biggest challenge was to ensure that Priyanka ma’am did not look her natural self while essaying the role of Mary Kom. She had to..just HAD to look like her in all the scenes!”, added the artist.
Priyanka is seen wearing a red and blue boxing kit in the pictures and in one of them she is seen boxing another woman. The former Miss World underwent rigorous training to get into the skin of her character. Reportedly, Mary Kom’s actual trainers have trained the actress for the film.
Directed by Omung Kumar, the biopic is being produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Well, here’s hoping that Priyanka lives up to the hype surrounding the movie. Earlier, a biopic on Milkha Singh was beautifully essayed by Farhan Akhtar who got into the skin of the character impeccably.
Only time will tell if Priyanka will be able to do the same.
