Vijay Deverakonda’s latest film Dear Comrade had hit the screens a couple of days ago and is getting a good response from the audience. Apart from being an intense love story, the film also deals with the sensitive issues of sexual harassment on women. Rashmika played the role of a cricketer who gets sexually harassed by the chief selector.
As the issue is relevant to society, it is important for people to know these issues. An NGO named Cheers Foundation, in collaboration with star Indian cricketer Mithali Raj, organized a special screening of Dear Comrade for girls of the foundation. Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have also attended the screening and post-screening event.
Mithali thanked everyone who made the event a success. She tweeted, “There’s no better way to spend Saturday than by bringing a smile on the faces of these children from the Cheer Foundation. Thank you for making the ‘MithaliRaj initiative’ a possibility, @Andrew007UK @iamRashmika @TheDeverakonda @rama_rajeshwari @sumansaraf @zcws_ghmc @team_sai.”
