Actress turned filmmaker Pooja Bhatt is all set for her acting comeback after a sabbatical of 15 long years.

Pooja Bhatt had made her acting debut in 1990 in her father Mahesh Bhatt directed film ‘Daddy’. It was about a daughter saving her father from alcoholism addiction with the help of her unconditional love.
Pooja said that the new film deals with the relation between a daughter and her ailing mother, a script written by her filmmaker father.
“I am acting in a film. It is like ‘Daddy’, but we are doing a reverse version of it. It’s about an ambitious woman, who gets busy chasing her career and in-turn leaves her daughter to earn money and fame. She is seen depressed and drunk, before realizing that she needs to make amends for her acts,” said Pooja.
The 43-old-actor was last seen on the silver screen in the 2001 movie ‘Everybody Says I am Fine’.
“When my father retired from direction, I stopped acting too. But today people are telling many good stories and who better than my dad to write one. That is why I decided to act,” said Pooja when questioned why she quit acting.
