Police raid, seize and arrest sellers of Pirated AD

After a sensational piracy that happened on Pawan Kalyan’s film, Attarintiki Daredi, the Police jumped into action to get to the bottom and handle the damage control of what followed. Teams of police officials have barged in and raided shops across Hyderabad and seized the pirated CDs that were put up for sale. There were several mobile servicing shops and CD stores which housed and sold the CD s at Rs 50 each, a disgusting price for a hideous act. “We raided several CD and mobile servicing shops since morning and have seized pirated discs of the film. The shopkeepers have been selling the discs for Rs 50. We have taken them into custody and we are conducting raids throughout the state” Confirmed a Police Official to IANS. “The first copy of the film was sold in Pedana town near Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh. It was circulated to the neighbouring districts as well”, he added. The film was leaked online on Sunday with a 90 minute footage of the entire film, sending shock waves to the film makers of Tollywood. Producer BVSN Prasad, who could not believe this at first, finally pulled himself together from agony and filed a police complaint. “He pressed for immediate action against all those involved in the piracy. A special team has been assigned to raid the CD shops” an official spokesperson of AD told IANS. The film directed by Trivikram, stars Pawan Kalyan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the leading roles. Easily one of the most awaited films by fans this year, the film had an unfortunate incident that could have potentially wiped out its commercials. The film will now be released this Friday instead of Dussera to mitigate the loss.
