Mohanlal starrer Peruchazhi is finally here folks and with release date just two days away on August 29th, the team behind the movie have announced quite gleefully that they have bagged a clean ‘U’ certificate from the regional censor board.
So yes guys, Peruchazhi is now officially touted as a ‘fun for the whole family’ rollercoaster of laughs, without any obscene or suggestible content. And with a cast of comedic geniuses including our very own Universal Star Mohanlal, Mukesh, Aju Varghese, Baburaj and Ramesh Pisharody, it does look like the flick might deal a severe blow to our funny bones.
Ragini Nandwani plays the female lead opposite Mohanlal, while Poonam Bajwa too plays a supporting role including an item song with the lyrics based on the famous Mohanlal line – Nee Po Mone Dineshaa.
Peruchazhi, which was mostly shot in the USA, and amazingly in the famous Universal Studios for a while, broke several records during its making ad set quite a number of new trends. For example, it is the first Mollywood movie to be advertised in the railway stations and on trains themselves.
Friday Film House, which is producing the movie headed by Sandra Thomas and Vijay Babu, have left no stone unturned in grabbing the spotlight with this one. Both producers are also, in an interesting development, acting in the flick. This was to manage production costs they say. Now that’s about as hands on as you can get as producers!
The film has been directed by Arun Vaidyanathan. Ajayan Venugopalan has penned the screenplay for Peruchazhi and Arvind Krishna is the man behind the lens.
Arrora has scored the tunes for this movie, which is being distributed by Friday Tickets and Fox Star Studios.
