Story:

Jayendra aka Nayak (Sampath Raj) is a corrupted home minister in the state who does the scams by diverting the government funds that are granted in the form of ex-gratia to the victims of the bomb blasts. All of a sudden, he loses money in theft and realizes someone is behind this and doing on a purpose.

Who is behind this? What is that purpose? Forms the story of the movie.

Performances:

Gopi Chand has presented himself in a wholly new and different manner. He has played his part well and delivered a decent performance in the movie. His on-screen chemistry with Mehren is too good, and the actress also impressed with the looks as well as performance. Hamsa Nandini shined for a brief run-time on the screen. The other actors like Sampath Raj, Vennela Kishore, Jaya Prakash Reddy, Shiyaji Shinde, Pavithra Lokesh, Ajay, Srinivas Reddy and Mukesh Sushi have done their best and did justice for the roles they are chosen for. The rest of the cast has made their presence felt.

Writing department:

K Chakravarthy wrote the film. He has written the story of the movie. Bobby Kolli is the screenplay writer while Ramesh Reddy has written the HR dialogues.

The entire writing department has worked well and came out with a decent product. Everyone has done their best and showcased a better skill in writing.

The story is excellent and the screenplay is also compelling.

Technical Aspects:

Gopi Sundar’s music is pleasant but not every tune of his was foot tapping. The background score he has scored for the movie is okay. The cinematography by Prasad Murella is the primary asset for the film. The visuals are cool and grand. Editing by Praveen Pudi is nice. The production values maintained by Sri Satya Sai Arts and KK Radha Mohan are lavish. The artwork is excellent.

Verdict:

The first half of the movie is good while the second half of the movie is boring. Pantham has a good message but the makers have only revealed it in the end. Had the movie progressed about the central theme from the beginning, the message, in the end, would have made a lot of sense but the film unit has implemented the outdated commercial formula just to make the audiences feel bored. With no proper curiosity in the screenplay and the predictable scenes, the movie runs at a slow pace. The movie is fine in parts and could have been much better if executed properly in an engaging manner. On the whole, Gopichand disappoints yet again with an average fare.
