Pakistan President Zardari accused of theft

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari has been accused of helping to steal paintings of an internationally acclaimed Pakistani artist.

As per the sources Shaheen, the daughter of the late artist Laila Shahzada, has filed a petition in a Pakistan court claiming that Zardari colluded with her brother to steal 93 of her mother’s paintings from her Karachi flat in 1994 and shipped them to London.

Shaheen wants the London Metropolitan Police to question Zardari during his visit to Britain.

Zardari has claimed in the past that he was simply looking after the paintings for Sohail Shahzada, Shaheen’s brother.
