Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who is known for making large than life epic films, is all set to bring another historical story on to the silver screen.
Titled ‘Padmavati’, the film explores the historical story of a royal queen. Bhansali’s lucky charm Deepika Padukone has been roped in to play the titular role. There is scope for two heroes in this film, and Ranveer Singh has reportedly been signed for one of them.
To play the role of Padmavati’s husband, Shah Rukh Khan was approached, but the idea was soon dropped after king Khan quoted a mammoth Rs 90 Cr remunerations.
Bhansali has reportedly signed Shahid Kapoor. No official announcement has been made yet but Shahid, Ranveer, and Deepika are heard to have been confirmed.
The project will soon go on floors, and it will be made on a budget of Rs 150 Cr.
