Padmapriya is one actress whose sultry looks and raw talent has earned her a niche in the industry when it comes to powerful characters, and the actress who says her mantra is ‘quality not quantity’ when it comes to picking roles, is all too aware of this fact.
The actress had been away in the US for her studies and now she’s making her return to the craft she loves and to the fans that adore her.
She is to play the role of Rahel, the strong Christian woman, in the film Iyobinte Pusthakam which is to be directed by Amal Neerad, and also produced by him and Fahadh Faasil!
Fahadh and Isha Sherwani star in this flick along with Jayasurya and Lal in other prominent roles. The plot of the film is based on the Biblical story from the Book of Job, and is to be set in the years from 1947 -1957.
So a historical/mythical tale made in to a period drama…
The shooting of the movie will be set in the picturesque locales of Ooty, Munnar and Wagamon.
The direction of Amal Neerad, and the very talented cast, most of whom are known for their offbeat choices and captivating performances, should give this movie a very flavorful buzz among the fans.
