Renowned cinematographer PC Sriram’s daughter Shwetha died falling from a high-rise building on Sunday Morning. The 23 year old daughter of the cinematographer and director slipped from the terrace of her friend’s house on Landon Road in Kilpauk.
She is a B.Tech graduate and an engineer with Infosys. She was celebrating Diwali with a group of friends and later went to her friend’s apartment where she had fallen down while walking back and forth along the parapet. An investigating officer reported that the wall was hardly two feet high and Shwetha could have easily tripped and tumbled as she was wearing high-heel sandals.
PC Sriram lodged a complaint and the police registered a case under Section 174 (Suspicious Death). Chitramala expresses its deepest condolences to PC Sriram and his family.
