Cult Hindi Movie, ‘OMG- Oh My God’, had created a rage of sorts when it had released earlier last year. The biggest plus points of the movie were that it broke the shackles of superstition and also brought in a lot of awareness regarding various myths and false beliefs that people had since ages.
The remake rights for the movie were bought by Sharat Marar and Suresh Productions.
The movie is all set to go on floors. The shooting for the film will commence on May 19.
“The regular shooting will start from May 19. By then, Pawan Kalyan will be relieved of his political duties and can concentrate on shooting. If all goes well, we plan to release the film in September,” said the film’s co-producer Sharat Marat.
While Venkatesh will be stepping into shoes of Paresh Rawal, his counterpart Pawan Kalyan will be seen as Lord Krishna in the film.
It remains to be seen how Pawan Kalyan finds time to shoot this film as he is currently busy with the electioneering for the TDP-BJP alliance.
‘OMG’ Telugu remake features Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan in the lead roles. No official title has been given to the film yet.
While the rest of the film’s cast is yet to be finalized, there have been rumours that Mithun Chakraborty has been roped in play his own role of the godman from the original.
It will be directed by Kishore Pardasani (of ‘Tadakha’ fame).
