Tough master SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali2: The Conclusion starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati has become the latest victim of piracy as the 50 minutes film has been leaked online before the release. The film is considered to be the biggest film in the Indian film industry, releasing worldwide on April 28th.
The film has become a prey to pirates and most of the prints that are doing the rounds seem pirated and recorded in theatres as the audiences can be heard shouting and whistling. One site even allows the direct download of any video on their website.
According to reports, the leaked video was from a preview show, which went viral on various social media platforms. Piracy has badly affected Tollywood. Although many strict measures and policies have been implemented by governments, none of them has been successful in resolving the issue. Almost all the big movies these days make it to the internet within a day of their release. There have even been instances when the films have been leaked online even before they hit theatres.
Now, the question is, will the leaked version affect the box office collection of the film? As per the trade analysts, the film is very likely to be the first Indian film to rake in Rs 1000 crore at the box office.
Directed by SS Rajamouli, Baahubali 2 takes the story forward from where Baahubali: The Beginning ended. Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan star in pivotal roles in this instalment of Baahubali too.
