NTR’s make up man Peethambaram dead!

Noted make-up-man M Peethambaram passed away at the age of 89 on Yesterday (February 21st) after a brief illness, in Chennai.

He worked as a makeup man for legendary actors MG Ramachandran and NT Rama Rao for nearly 41 years. The lord Krishna look he gave for NTR became so famous that he did make-up for the star till his last movie. He also worked with yesteryear actors Savithri, Gemini Ganesan and Hindi actors such as Ashok Kumar, Pran and Neetu Singh.

 

He also prroduced movie like Yugandhar and Annadammula Anubandham with NT Ramarao.

 

M Peethambaram is also the father of director P.Vasu, who directed Chandramukhi, Maharadhi, Nagavalli movies in Telugu.

 

Peethambaram is survived by wife Kamalam and sons Vidyasagar, Vasu and Vimal, and daughters Vijayalakshmi and Vanaja. He will be cremated at the Besant Nagar crematorium at 2.30pm on Tuesday(Today).
