Short beauty Nithya Menen is known to be a powerhouse performer. After making a successful debut in Tollywood with ‘Ala Modalaindi’, she has scored many hits by playing performance oriented roles.
Not many knew that a new film of Nithya hit screens recently. Titled ’Ghatana’, it is the Telugu dubbed version of her Malayalam film directed by Sripriya of ‘Drushyam’ fame. In a recent interview, Nithya shocked the host by divulging that she was raped twice.
Nithya later eased the shock of the anchor by revealing that she was talking about her new film ‘Ghatana’, in which senior actor Naresh, who essayed the villain role in the film, raped her twice. ‘As the director filmed those scenes sensitively, I didn’t even feel as if I was raped,’ Nithya added.
Buoyed with the success of ‘Janatha Garage’, Nithya is reportedly prepping up to star in the biopic of Mahanati Savithri.
