Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is shooting for his upcoming film “Dictator”, took some time out of the shooting and felicitated his co-actor and good friend Nasser.
The reason behind this was very simple. Nasser, who contested in the elections of South Indian Film Artistes Association (popularly known as Nadigar Sangam elections) on behalf of Vishal’s Pandavar Ani, was recently elected as the new president of the association in Tamil Nadu. Vishal and Karthi were elected as General Secretary and Treasurer by beating Sarath Kumar and his team.
After returning from Tamil Nadu, Nasser joined the “Dictator” team in which he is seen as an anti-character. Taking this opportunity, Balakrishna felicitated Nasser over his win in the Nadigar Sangam elections.
Balakrishna further appealed to this veteran actor regarding the issues and problems being faced by the poor artist’s and workers in Tamil Nadu. Nasser replied in a positive manner and gave his word of looking into the issue.
Along with Balakrishna heroine Anjali, director Sriwass, character artist Posani and other casts of the film were present while felicitating Nasser.
The fiercely-fought Nadigar Sangam elections have brought to an end the decade-old contentious rule of Sarathkumar and Radha Ravi. The Pandavar Ani, led by Vishal and Nasser, has swept the polls. Being part of a free and fair election, the stars of Tamil cinema have, for the first time, realised the importance of casting their vote.
