Popular Tamil producer Muktha Srinivasan breathed his last in Chennai last night. He was 90 when he breathed his last and his film Nayakan is the first Indian film to be nominated for Oscars. The producer has worked with the directors like Balachander and Mani Ratnam. He made more than 65 films in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages under the banner of Muktha films.
The producer also bagged a lot of state and National awards. He also produced films written by DMK Chief Karunanidhi. He has two sons and one daughter. Citing health reasons, he joined the hospital recently and finally breathed his last at his residence in Chennai. The family members are going to perform the final rites today evening at 4 PM. A lot of Tamil film personalities have mourned his death.
