Young Hero Naga Shaurya is currently hoping that his upcoming film @Narthanashala is going to become a big hit at the box office. The actor is confident that the movie will bring him a lot of appreciations like how he got for his previous movie Chalo. This movie @Narthanasala is the second film coming from the home production of Naga Shourya and there is a positive buzz on this outing. The new heroines are going to be introduced as leading ladies in this film and a newcomer has made his directional debut as a director with the movie. Story:
Radha Krishna (Naga Shaurya) always tells his father that he does not get feelings on women to get married. But his father looks for the right opportunity to settle his son for marriage. He thinks that Radha Krishna loves Satya (Yamini) and fixes marriage with her but Radha Krishna then reveals that he actually loved another girl Manasa (Kashmiri). How did Radha Krishna manage the situation? Is Radha Krishna a gay? Whom did Radha Krishna marry in the end? Forms the story of the movie.
Performances:
Naga Shaurya played the character of a gay in this film for the first time. Even though it is a controversial role, Naga Shourya played it well by not drawing any controversies and impressed in his part. His performance is going to be a highlight for the movie and his Chemistry with heroines is also good. Kashmiri Paradesi is good in terms of glamour and has put a decent performance in the film. At the same time, Yamini Bhaskar also delivered a nice performance and impressed. Shivaji Raja also tried his best to come up with a good performance. All the other actors have played their parts well and did justice for the characters they were given.
Writing Department:
The writing by the newcomee Srinivas Chakravarthy is not impressive. The movie lacks an interesting story and the director tried his best to include a social message in this poor story. The film also has good dialogues. On the whole, the writing is not upto the mark.
Technical Aspects:
The cinematography by Vijay C Kumar is impressive. The visuals of the movie are grand. The editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and Thammiraju is decent. The music by mahati Swara Sagar is impressive and his background score also came out well. Kiran Kumar’s art direction is excellent. The background score of the movie by Sagar is also good. The technical team has worked well and have given the best output for the movie. The Production values of Ira creations and grand.
Verdict:
The major element that differentiates ‘Narthanasala’ from the rest of the movies is the hero playing a gay role. The unique concept is quite appealing and two heroines falling in love with the same guy generates more fun. However, the director failed to handle the story well and his poor execution made the movie dull. The film touted to be a comedy entertainer but the timing is not at all appropriate. The scenes with JP and Sivajiraja were not that funny. The visuals of the four songs can be considered as the plus points for the film whereas the poor execution will be the minus point of the film.
