After making a friendly meeting overtly politicised, there is a new twist to the NarendraModi – Rajini camaraderie. The southern superstar will now organise a special screening for BJP’s star Prime Ministerial candidate in Ahmedabad. While Modi recently met Rajini on a personal level, looks like the star attraction and celeb friendship is going places.
As per the sources, the screening at Ahmedabad will be attended by Soundarya Rajinikanth, the youngest daughter of Thalaivar who also made the film. NaMo was all praise for Rajini when they met at his residence in Chennai for ‘Chai’. Rajini stated that the duo share an old friendship that just got into the limelight because of Modi’s credentials fast rising.
Rajinikanth never confirmed to supporting either Modi or BJP loud enough, but looks like the NaMo fever is actively trending with the celebrities of the country.
Recently, a similar incident happened when Big B invited the President of India, PranabMukherji to watch a special screening of Bhoothnath Returns.
There is a massive Bollywood fever gripping this year’s Lok Sabha’s election. With celebrities like HemaMalini, KirronKher, Nagma, Rakshita and Gul Panag actively campaigning for their individual parties, the things have just zinged up at the political scenario. Interestingly, there are more celebs in support of BJP than any other party.
The NaMo factor is definitely dominating the scheme of things. It remains to be seen if this goes far enough to take the throne at the Centre!
