Kerala is known for its high literacy rate and progressive attitude towards education in general and it then comes as no surprise that it is reflected in its cine industry as well with many of the young actors giving their academic achievements high priority. Namitha Pramod is one such example as the nineteen year old just graduated from 12th class with an A+ grade in all her subjects in the humanities stream.
She is an alum of the Carmel Girls Higher Secondary School in Thiruvananthapuram. The beautiful and talented young actress started her career in television as a child and then moved on to the big leagues by debuting in Rajesh Pillai’s hit movie Traffic.
Since then she has had a whole slew of movies which is impressive considering her very short career span and her obvious devotion to her studies. She is one of the leads in the currently running Kunchacko Boban starrer Law Point and is also the leading lady in the upcoming Lal Jose venture starring Unni Mukundan and Dulquer Salman – Vikramadithyan.
On the same note, it was only recently that another young star in Mollywood, an award winner no less, Sanusha Santhosh too apologized on her Facebook page to her fans for being ‘busy’ for the next few days as she would be busy prepping for her exams.
It is indeed nice to see the pool of youthful talent set an example to their generation and the next by setting such high benchmarks for a responsible attitude towards life and showing those who adore them that following one passion or being amidst the glitz and glamour of show business doesn’t mean you lose sight of what’s important in the long run.
Good form guys… keep it up!
