Nagma,once heroine, and present Congress Leader of Tamil Nadu is promoted as National General Secretary of Mahila Congress on 16th of October by Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
With, Nagma becoming the Secretary of Mahila, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee decided to felicitate her on the 22nd of the month on the eve of Vijaya Dashami. Thought the felicitation was scheduled on 16th, due to last movement commitments, Nagma couldn’t attend the function.
TNCC President Elangovan will felicitate her. On the 22nd, Nagma will inaugurate the State Mahila Congress Office at Satyamurthy Bhavan in Chennai. Later in the very same office, in front of State Mahila leader’s she will be felicitated. Later, she will release a remembrance letter of India’s first PM Jawaharlal Nehru on the occasion of his 125th birthday.
