Mohanlal starrer Mr. Fraud, directed by B. Unnikrishnan is reported to finish its shooting by tomorrow, the auspicious Vishu day. The crew had travelled to Mumbai and then Jaipur to complete the onscreen production work.
The songs of the movie and the full length trailer are to come out on April 25, according to the director.
The movie, which has a tagline that says ‘Deception is an art’, is rumoured to be a heist movie in which Mohanlal appears in many looks or ‘with many faces’ as a cunning fraudster. Mammootty’s Gangster which came out on the 11th too had the same ‘many looks’ concept. Apparently the versatile superstars seem to going head to head with the intriguing gimmick. Mr. Fraud’s plot has not been leaked so far and the storyline, except for two teaser promos, remains under wraps.
Mia George and Pallavi Chandran, who are excited to have gotten the chance to work alongside Mohanlal, are playing the two lead female characters. Saikumar, Siddique,Devan, Sathar,Vijaybabu and others form the rest of the cast.
The movie is already getting quite a lot of attention as the tense thriller genre with the big names seem to be doing well this year. It is being produced by A V Anoop under the banner of AVA productions and has a reported budget of Rs. 7 crores which is pretty huge for a Mollywood project.
Although B. Unnikrishnan has delivered dome hit n misses in the past, this one looks like it’s worth the wait. The fans seem to think so as social media pages of Mollywood fan community these days seem to be working as unpaid promotional service for the movie with posts and posters being shared with enthusiasm.
Let’s hope it brings the house down and gives the fans something to root for..
