MP’s son offers finger in temple for Nitish win

JEHANABAD: A 31-year-old man on Thursday severed his ring finger and offered it to a deity at a temple for celebrating the landslide victory of the NDA in the recent Bihar Assembly elections.

Anil Sharma, a resident of Oena village in Jehanabad, went to the temple this morning, severed his finger and offered it to the deity, officials said.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment, they said. Anil said he had chopped off his finger for celebrating the victory of the Nitish Kumar-led NDA and Rahul Kumar, son of Jehanabad Lok Sabha MP Jagdish Sharma, from Ghosi Assembly constituency in the district.(PTI)
