The Tollywood film industry has approached the state government to increase film ticket rates from Rs. 50 to Rs. 75 in Cities and Rs. 25 to Rs. 50 in suburban areas.
Many big budget movies are releasing in this month like Pawan’s ‘Komaram Puli’, Jr.NTR’s ‘Brindavanam’, Mahesh’s ‘Mahesh Khaleja’ and Rajnikanth’s ‘Robo’ and many more films are ready for release. So all the films has top stars, definitely audience will show the interest in seeing these films. So Film Chamber of Commerce is asking Government to pass a G.O. to hike the theatre rates. On the Other hand Government is also ready to pass the G.O. So, within a week, the ticket rates may hike.
Some sources saying that Allu Aravind is behind this ticket hikes because of Komaram Puli release. Geeta Arts has requested the govt to increase ticket rates from 50 to 75rs and Lobbying is at its peak to hike ticket rates to 75/-, especially to save the upcoming highly over budgeted flick ‘Komaram puli’.
So why can’t the heroes and technicians reduce the remuneration instead of increasing the ticket rates.
The proposed hike will benefit only BIG4 and it will get angry reaction from audiences and Telugu film Industry.
