Mohanlal finally joined the cast and crew of the movie Peruchazhi, which is being directed by Arun Vaidyanathan and produced by Vijay Babu and Sandra Thomas under the banner of Friday Film House. He had been at the shoot of his other upcoming flick Koothara before joining his new ‘reel’ family, so to speak.
Peruchazhi is going to be a laugh riot, promises the director. The story revolves around Mohanlal’s character who is an aspiring politician who is sent to the U.S.A to help a candidate there with the campaign, but runs in to trouble in the form of language barriers and dirty tricks from his nemesis who also happens to be an elected minister, played by Mukesh.
The Mohanlal- Mukesh duo have delivered some classic humor in the past, with their unique comedic styles and timing. Mohanlal is said to have agreed to the project after being impressed by the story. So expectations are high on this one…
Ajayan Venugopal wrote the script of the movie while James Vasanth composed the tunes. Hindi television actress Ragini Nandwani will take on the lead female role while Baburaj, Aju Varghese, Ramesh Pisharadi and others will form the supporting cast. The film will be shot almost completely in the U.S.
