The recently released Nani starrer hit film ‘Krishnagadi Veera Prema Gaadha’ also marked the promising debut of the Punjabi actress Mehrene Kaur Pirzada.
After the success of her debut film, she has already bagged a film each starring Sai Dharam Tej and Kalyanram.
Now, we hear that Mehrene has been roped in by Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma for her new production venture titled ‘Phillauri’. As the film is set in Punjab backdrop, the makers zeroed in on Mehrene owing to her Punjabi roots. They were also impressed with Mehreen’s experience in modeling and her successful stint in Tollywood.
Mehreen has to adjust her dates as her both Telugu films will start rolling shortly. Anushka will collaborate with Fox Star Studios to produce Phillauri, which will be launched in April.
