HYDERABAD: An MBA final year student committed suicide allegedly after the parents of a girl refused his marriage proposal. He locked himself in the room in the girl’s house in Bazar Ghat on Monday and hanged himself.
Md Aziz Pasha, 23, of Warangal was the student of Nizam College here. While he was doing B Com in Vijayawada two years ago, he fell in love with the girl. After finishing engineering, she came to the city in search of a job.
Six months ago, Aziz’s mother and uncle went to the girl’s house with a marriage proposal. However, the girl’s mother rejected it saying that her daughter’s marriage had already been fixed.
Aziz came to her house on Monday at around 1.30 pm and requested her mother to reconsider her decision. When she did not agree, Aziz ran into the bedroom and locked himself in it. As he did not open the door for a long time, they alerted the police.
"When we rushed to the spot and opened the door we found Aziz hanging to the ceiling fan," Humayun Nagar inspector N Chandrasekhar said.(TNN)
