The release of Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Mausam’, where the actor plays a fighter pilot, has been postponed by a week, it was announced here today.
The development follows the Indian Air Force (IAF) raising objections to an aerial action sequence in the film.
‘Mausam’ was scheduled to release on September 16. It would now release on September 23, the actor told reporters here this evening.
The IAF had demanded alterations in a sequence involving six fighter planes, one among which is "flown" by Shahid, in his father Pankaj Kapoor’s directorial debut.
There were reports that the IAF held back its No Objection Certificate (NOC) until the producers made the changes.
Shahid had also planned a screening of the film for Air Force officers in Delhi a few days back, but it was cancelled at the last moment.
‘Mausam’, which bring back the classic love story to the silver screen, features Sonam Kapoor in the female lead. (PTI)
