Mammootty’s Manglish teaser out!

After a lot of hype and press coverage for its interesting cast and unique setting, one of the most awaited movies this season, Megastar Mammootty starrer Manglish has just released its first teaser trailer! Yes folks, we finally get a sneak peek in to the flick!

The teaser shows various people talking about Malik Bhai (Mammootty) from different perspectives and based on different opinions. It is only then that we catch a glimpse of the seemingly down to earth Mammukka in a classroom like setting where he introduces himself and says he is a fish merchant from Kochi.

The visuals then cut to the stylish star in various get ups before he appears with the leading lady of the film Caroline Bech, the Dutch actress, and declares, “Any ‘scene’ is okay for the Bhai, my dear!” Well, that’s about as true as a statement can get indeed.

The story of the movie, from what we know so far, is about Malik Bhai who is ignorant in English but passionate about it meeting and befriending a tourist girl and the hilarious events that follow in the wake of their odd camaraderie.

Interestingly, it was announced earlier on that Caroline would not be playing the superstar’s love interest in the film.

The story has been penned by KP Riyaz, the journalist, and the director is Salaam Bappu of Red Wine fame. The flick has been produced by Haneef Mohammed under the banner of Red Rose Creations.

The music of the film has been scored by Gopi Sunder while the lyrics were written by Rafeeq Ahammed and Santhosh Varma. Pratheesh Varma handled the cinematography on this one.

Another feature of interest in this comedy entertainer is the promo song Njan Poneyaanu, which has been sung by none other than Dulquer Salman!

So, in every respect, this one looks like it has all the ingredients to be a winner. But as always that decision lies with the fans who will pass judgement come this Eid, when the movie will hit the screens.
