Bollywood calling Mamatha Mohandas
The dusky damsel from Kerala with a husky voice, Mamatha Mohandas is going places and going pretty fast, too! She acted in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada and Telugu films. She also sang in all these language films. She won a Filmfare award for best playback singer in Telugu for her song in the film Rakhi. She won accolades for her special role in the film Yamadonga.
It is believed that a front-running production house of Bollywood is negotiating with Mamatha Mohandas for a lead role in a forthcoming Hindi film. According to the usually reliable sources, the deal is almost finalised and the film may be launched sometime in February 2008.
