The festivities of Sankranti saw Prince Mahesh connecting with his fans via telly. Talking to a leading news channel in Telugu, Mahesh expressed more of his views on his most debated film, 1 Nenokkadine. The movie opened to a fantastic response. However, the film goers found the story a little ‘different’, away from the Tollywood norms. 1 Nenokkadine has been made more on the lines of Hollywood.
Mahesh stated that the movie is like one of those Tamil thrillers viewers have always watched in the dubbed version and were inspired. Aparachitudu, Ghajini and 7th Sense – they were all well ‘understood’ and accepted, despite the minimal logic applied on scientific lines. Mahesh expressed that director Sukumar wanted to give something on those lines for the audience in Telugu and he truly strived to make it happen.
Touted to be a psychological thriller, 1 gained respect, admiration and accolades even from the film fraternity. It takes a lot for a celebrated director to try something ‘out of the box’, putting his reputation at stake. Sukumar had just done that. Devi Sri Prasad’s rocking music added up the jazz element to the film. The viewers are slowly trying to appreciate and decipher the concept of ‘psychological’ thrillers in Telugu.
Kriti Sanon debuted opposite Mahesh in this racy flick. The camerawork of Ratva Velu is simply mind blowing and the stunts by Prem Rakshit are top notch.
Produced by Anil Sunkara, Gopi and Ram Achanta of 14 Reels, 1 Nenokkadine captivated hearts this Sankranthi, with or without heavy collections.
