Superstar Mahesh Babu’s latest release Srimanthudu continues to ring cash registers at ticket window. According to trade reports, Srimanthudu has collected a whopping Rs 154 Crore gross in just 25 days run and became the second highest grosser in Tollywood after Baahubali. Srimanthudu raked in unbelievable Rs 95 Crore share and by its full run it will definitely breach the magical Rs 100 Crore share mark.
These figures of Srimanthudu are excluding satellite rights which were already sold to a leading entertainment channel for a fancy price. Mahesh has now set a new benchmark with Srimanthudu. Besides whopping collections, Srimanthudu has also been lapped up by critics and audience. Baahubali’s collections were not so surprising considering the pan-India appeal and being a fantasy film but Srimanthudu’s run is unbelievable.
Mahesh Babu is very happy for the response to his movie Srimanthudu. Recently he also adopted two villages one from Telangana and another from Andhra Pradesh. Soon Mahesh Babu will go to join in the shooting of his new movie titled “Brahmotsavam” to be directed by Srikanth Addala of Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu fame. Mahesh is going to romance with three beautiful heroines Samantha, Rakul Preet and Pranitha in the film.
