Papa Mahesh Bhatt who always displays profound love for his happening daughter Alia Bhatt, was spellbound recently. The ace film maker who was instrumental in introducing many stars to Bollywood was particularly in awe of Alia’s co-star, Arjun Kapoor, when he watched the special screening of 2 States in Mumbai recently.
Mahesh Bhatt took to Twitter showering praises for Arjun Kapoor’s commendable acting, calling him the Star of the film and not Alia. This is a new high for young talent like Arjun, who plays a rather different role in the film from that of his previous ones.
2 States, is lot in the news for its screen adaptation tastefully transcended from the popular Novel penned by Chetan Bhagat. The film’s trailer, song trailers and the stills have captivated hearts already. The movie is gearing up for a grand release on 18th April, and Alia – Arjun’s crackling chemistry is being anxiously awaited by the film lovers.
Both the stars who have come together on screen for the first time, have been displaying more than required bonding at all the promotional events pertaining to the film. While the rumours are afloat that the pair is also dating in real life, Alia has rubbished off the buzz.
2 States is directed by Abhishek Varman and stars Revathy, Amrita Singh, Ronit Roy and ShivaKumar Subramaniam in the prominent roles.
The film that is largely a romantic journey about a South India girl and a North Indian boy is speculated to rekindle the magic of ‘Ekk Duje Ke Liye’ of the 80s that starred Kamal Haasan and Rathi Agnihotri.
