Bollywood actress Lara Dutta and Tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi had a registered marriage today (February 16th) in Mumbai. The wedding took place at Mahesh’s house in Bandra, with the presence of only their families. Earlier they planned their wedding in Goa on Feb 19, but the actual marriage is happening today.
Mahesh-Lara had been dating for a while now and made their relationship public soon after Mahesh’s divorce to Shvetha Jaishankar. Lara got engaged to Mahesh in September 2010
Lara wore a white Ritu Kumar sari for the registered marriage. Check out the pic right here, posted by Mahesh on his Twitter page. He wrote, "Mr and Mrs. Bhupathi folks :-)"
The couple will leave for Goa tonight to have their church wedding on the 19th. The Sangeet is on February 18 at Club Fresh, a beach resort on Candolim beach.
Lara will wear a Manav Gangwani outfit for the sangeet. On 19th, the couple will have a Christian wedding at the Sunset Venue, Taj Aguada.
