Madhuri and Juhi spell magic on Koffee with Karan

Koffee with Karan - Madhuri and Juhi

As to what looked like a nostalgic trip down the memory lane, the weekend saw reigning queens of Bollywood in 90’s, Madhuri Dixit and Juhi Chawla on the hot seat in Koffee with Karan. The two beauties emulated grace, style and effervescent persona in this scintillating episode that took us back to the decade.

Promoting their upcoming film together, Gulaab Gang, Madhuri and Juhi reveled with some interesting facts in the facets of their careers as actresses on the show. The arch rivals in business back in the day, looked absolutely mellowed and comfortable in each other’s company, defining the maturity of age. While K Jo shot those apprehensive questions, the gorgeous ladies were unnerved, and lived to be themselves. Their fondness for Shah Rukh Khan as a co star and a colleague was prominent while Juhi’s reaction to not working with Salman Khan, hilarious.

When asked about their reaction to young boys lusting after them, Madhuri replied that “You are wasting your time and mine” snapper, happily con-corded by Juhi. The actresses showed unilateral interest towards Ranbir Kapoor, when asked as to who would they want to be paired opposite in the present lot. Juhi opened up on her silly cold war then with her co star Aamir Khan then while Madhuri expressed her candid views on the growing celebrity management and a bigger community for celebrities, thanks to Social Networking. The dancing queen was unfazed with her rapid fire answers but lost it to the bubbly Juhi who had the audience in splits with her witty replies.

The best part of the episode was the fun audio visual done by the younger actors like Arjun Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Imraan Khan, Sushant Singh and Ranveer Singh, who openly confessed to have lusted either of the actresses while still being teenagers. The ‘Dhak Dhak’ dance number performed by Ranveer Singh was an absolute rib tickler, sending both the divas in splits.

An overwhelming episode that reminded us of the talent we had in the era of 90s, Madhuri and Juhi managed to touch the hearts in a very special way!
