Dark clouds formed by the disastrous result of Rajinikanth’s last release ‘Lingaa’ are still taunting the superstar.
Rajini’s latest film ‘Kabali’ is gearing up for worldwide release on July 22, tomorrow. Meanwhile, Sukra Films, one of the distributors of ‘Lingaa’, which incurred heavy losses, has filed a petition in the Madras High Court seeking to stop the release of ‘Kabali’ until his loss is compensated.
In his complaint, it was alleged, ‘’Lingaa’ producer Rockline Venkatesh and Rajinikanth promised me to compensate the losses to the tune of Rs 1 Cr but they have not done it yet. I request you to stall the release of ‘Kabali’ unless Rajinikanth compensates me’.
Responding to the petition, Madras High Court has sent notices to Rajini. With this sudden development, fans and movie lovers across the globe are worried about the release date now.
