Legend, the movie starring Nandamuri Balakrishna aka Balayya has rocked the masses with a rollicking response at the Box Office. The film just reached a landmark of sorts, turning out to be one of biggest blockbuster in Balayya’s own individual career.
Creating a new record today, the film grossed 50 crores at the Box office, officially joining the movies at the elite 50 Crore Club. The 14 Reels Entertainment has officially released a statement confirming the same, and the entire cast and crew is rapt with this outstanding success.
Balayya’s comeback in the explosive direction of Boyapati Sreenu was long anticipated.
Their previous blockbuster hit, Simha, managed to become a super hit in the year of its release, marking a new workable combination of Balayya and Boyapati at the Box office. The director known for his volatile dialogues and genre of violence struck back with twice the force this time, reckoning another sensation.
The movie, which was made with a budget of 35 Crores, marked the start of Jagapathi Babu’s career as a villain in Tollywood. The film starring Sonal Chauhan and Radhika Apte in the female leads appealed largely to the B and C centers for its powerful dialogues, mindless gore of violence and larger than life portrayal of Balayya’s character.
Analysts predict the film to do well for the next weekend as well, considering that there are no big tickets releasing. The only other film which is making waves is Sampoornesh Babu’s Hrudaya Kaleyam, a surprise winner this year!
