Twilight beauty Kristen Stewart is sure going places in Hollywood as the young actress is now stepping into the shoes of none other than superstar Angelina Jolie.
The 20-year-old has been approached by Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov to replace the Academy Award winning actress as the female lead in the sequel to his hit movie, reported Contactmusic.
Bekmambetov wants Stewart to play a new young assassin in the comic book adaptation about a brotherhood of secret assassins who have control over superhuman abilities.
Jolie’s character Fox was killed at the end of the first film but Bekmambetov had previously told of his plans to bring her back in the sequel.
But the 35-year-old actress reportedly distanced herself from the project for unknown reasons, leading to uncertainties over the future of the sequel.
But now Bekmambetov wants Stewart to take Jolie’s place opposite James McAvoy and save the series.
But Stewart’s involvement in the film is still doubtful as she is scheduled to begin shooting for the fourth ‘Twilight’ film, ‘Breaking Dawn’, which will be released around October this year.(PTI)
