Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini starring Sudheer Babu and Nanditha Raj in lead roles along with Saptagiri and M.S.Narayana in supporting roles. The duo had earlier worked together in the movie Prema Katha Chitram which was a commercial hit. The story is not exactly original or unique. The movie is the remake of the hit Kannada film, Charminar. The movie is a love story of Krishna (Sudheer Babu) and Radha (Nanditha). Krishnamma kalipindi Iddarini is a romantic drama movie with too much saccharine yet retains a frothy and smooth texture. The movie is directed by R. Chandru and music given by Hari.
Story:
The story is of a simple guy Krishna who becomes a CEO of a company after struggling a lot. The twist in the tale is unpredictable when the hero hopes of meeting his love in the college reunion and confess of his love to her but the fate had decided something else and Radha gives the reunion a miss. Why did she give it a miss and was he able to confess his love to her? These tresses in the screenplay forms the rest of the story and the story revolve around these plots. The movie is high on emotions.
Pros:
The movie with any lead pair may not have got an overwhelming response. But between Sudheer Babu and Nanditha Raj there is an overabundance of chemistry. Sudheer Babu proved his acting mettle with this movie as the character he played had to emote many emotions at various stages of the plot development. Sudheer matched up to the portrayal of the character and Nanditha with her beautiful charming eyes captivated the audience and her beauty in the film made her job easy. The supporting characters gave their best and even the child actors who played little Krishna and Radha were good enough. Overall the cinematography of the movie was good. The characters added magic to the love story.
Cons:
The movie lags editing for example the pace of the movie is slow and the college scenes in the second half of the movie are hauled up to an unnecessary extent and the actor have to work on his dialogue delivery.
Technical Aspects:
The music by Hari and the cinematography has helped the movie to get an overwhelming response. The dialogues were heart touching and high on emotions. As Sridhar is known for his good movies, this movie even marks up to the rank. The story sets along Krishna river and the setting of the story enhances the mood and the splendor of the love story. The choice of Krishna River by the director is a clever move as it suited Telugu nativity and emotions.
Verdict:
The director made an honest effort. The movie is a romantic love story with songs which enhance the movie’s delicate emotional texture. Overall the entire movie is simple and a decent watch for you and your family.
