Kona Venkat to write for Abhishek Bachchan

Star writer of Tollywood, Kona Venkat, will soon be writing once again for the Bollywood marquee. This time it will be for none other than Abhishek Bachchan. Kona, who was lately busy conducting script writing workshops for aspiring writers in the United States, incidentally happened to narrate an interesting story to an friend of Bachchan Jr, who took an instant liking to it. This was later liked by Abhishek himself and Kona will pen the entire screenplay for Bachchan Production House shortly for this new project.

The ‘Dookudu’ writer had earlier worked on the Salman Khan starrer script, Ready, which was a direct remake of the Telugu film with the same title. The new project with Abhishek Bachchan will go on the floors later this year in July or August, said the writer, while speaking to a newspaper daily.

Apart from the big tickets, punch dialogues and big stars, Kona had also directed a romantic short film recently in US, titled Ram & Juliet. This happens to be his experimental directorial before Kona takes a full plunge into mainstream direction. His plans to direct were in pipeline since long and looks like that time had finally come. Kona had requested his favorite actress of Dookudu, Samantha, to unveil the internet broadcast of the film on the Valentine’s Day, to which Sam wholeheartedly agreed.

Apart from this, Kona is also working on Anees Bazmee’s No Entry2 and Sridevi Boney Kapoor’s untitled film.
