The Mollywood movie Twenty 20 (2008) made history with an ensemble cast which included, literally, every big name in the industry. The epic movie was produced by actor Dileep and directed by Joshiy.
Now, there is a rumour out there that maybe too good to be true. Hold on to your seats – Kollywood maybe remaking the movie with its own all star cast!
And by all stars, we really mean them all – Vijay, Ajith, Surya, Dhanush and Simbhu. Even Kamal Hassan and Rajnikanth may appear in a song sequence together. And the female cast would also include pretty much every known starlet in the industry.
Sounds too good to be true? Maybe – maybe not. Kollywood is said to have been inspired by the success of the Mollywood version and its legacy. It is even rumoured that following the success of Jilla, Mohanlal himself may also appear in an important role in the movie.
If this does turn out to be the real thing, we can certainly expect that it’s going to take some time and some even bigger pockets.
Kollywood fans around the world will have to just wait and see!
