On a shocking note, the Tamil writer SouPa alias Soundara Pandian (55) brutally killed his son. As per the police, SouPa associated with a weekly magazine and was doing popular TV shows in leading Tamil satellite news channels. He was also a story writer of the Tamil movie Seevalaperi Pandi. Recently his wife, Latha, principal at the Government Arts College in Kovilpatti, and living separately, had filed a police complaint that her son Vipin (26) had gone missing from April 30. When the police started investigating, they asked SouPa regarding the same. During the questioning, he confessed that he had hit Vipin, following which the young man fell unconscious and died.
However, the police yet to get the information, where the body buried and they suspect that it could have been buried in a garden owned by SouPa at Ammayanayakkanur in Dindigul district and have rushed to the spot.
