She is the Indian Barbie Doll, with a stardom that has unmatched levels. Actress Katrina Kaif is the firangi babe, who has Indianized over the years. This British Indian babe, started her career in a spicy avatar in Boom in 2003. Though Boom didn’t work, and was a dud, Katrina Kaif, grabbed eyeballs. Soon she was flooded with modeling assignments and she started bagging endorsements. In 2004, she did a Telugu film called Malliswari, which was a commercial success. After that, Katrina managed to impress a few by her role in Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar.

Post Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005) things started to change for Katrina. She was getting noticed not only for her charming looks, but also improving diction and performances. She worked with Akshay in “Humko Deewana Kar Gaye”, which was a flop too. She did a few more films in the Southern Film Industry and then post, Namaste London (2007), Kat got her much awaited success.

Following which, Katrina became Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar’s onscreen muse. She signed various projects with both Superstars and the films garnered quite some moolahs and were commercial successes. Though it even earned Kat the tag of arm-candy!

Among her superhits, Partner, Welcome, Singh is King, Race, Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani, Rajneeti, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara, Ek Tha Tiger, Jab Tak Hai Jaan and now Bang Bang, have grossed widely at the Box Office; some even being the massive 100 crore entrants. Most of her hits are even International hits.

Ek Tha Tiger, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Dhoom 3 have been some of the highest grossing films of Kat, which created some massive records, and even broke each other’s records too. Katrina became the actress to have given 100 crore blockbusters with all the three Khans.

But said so, there are few films of this gorgeous lady that you would seriously want to forget. Films like, Boom, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Yuvraaj and Tees Maar Khan just didn’t click for Kat.

She has also received critical acclaim for movies like New York, Rajneeti, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara. Her roles in Namaste London, Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahaani and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, have been deemed to be some quirky ones which she pulled off with ultimate ease. The actor in Katrina gets masked by the commercial masala entertainers.

In 2014, Katrina’s only release was Bang Bang, which was the official remake of Fox Star Studios’ Knight and Day. She was paired opposite Hrithik Roshan and the film is minting a lot of money. The film is shattering records and is a milestone film in Katrina’s career.

She has been vigorously shooting for Kabir Khan’s Phantom in which she stars opposite Saif Ali Khan and Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos, alongwith Ranbir Kapoor. Both these films are expecting releases in 2015!

In her decade long career, Katrina has had the success rate of around over 78-80%, which is pretty good and we are expecting much more from the actress. Way to go girl!
