CHENNAI: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa has donated Rs one crore for various works at Sri Devanathaswamy Temple in Tamil Nadu’s Cuddalore district.
Karnataka Commissioner for Religious and Charitable Endowments K Ramanna Naik, representing the chief minister, presented a demand draft to Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment (HR&CE) Minister K R Periakaruppan here, an official press release said.
The sum of Rs one crore would be utilised towards works at the Swami Hayagreevar ‘Sannithi’ (sanctum sanctorum) in the temple, it said.(PTI)
