KJo’s once favourite, Imran Khan is no longer working with him. They aren’t even interacting socially!
Three Karan Johar’s productions–I Hate Luv Storys, Ek Main Aur Ek Tu and Gori Tere Pyaar Mein–toplined him, but post the debacle of the last one, buzz is that Imran Khan is no longer a favourite with Dharma.
According to sources, Imran and Karan even had a fight post the release of ‘Gori tere Pyar Mein’, following which Imran landed up at Karan’s place offering to return the paycheque he had received for the film.
Rumour also has it that Karan Johar slaps Imran Khan for doing so!
Word from the Dharma Productions’ office is that Imran has not been approached for any of the banner’s upcoming projects.
Buzz also has it that the movie ‘Bhavesh Joshi’, in which Imran Khan was being considered to be cast, has now gone to Karan Johar’s current favourite, Siddharth Malhotra.
When contacted by a prominent media house, Imran said: “Karan gave me a hit when I needed it the most. We made three films together which are very close to my heart. However, currently we are not working on anything but I still hold the banner in the highest esteem.”
However, it’s not just the professional differences.
Karan who hardly fails to wish industry friends on Twitter, didn’t congratulate Imran.
Karan Johar was also absent from Imran and wife Avantika’s baby-shower.
When questioned on this subject, Imran said, “You should be asking this question to Karan and not me.”
When contacted by a prominent media house, Karan Johar did not respond.
Well, here’s hoping that all’s well between the two and all the news above are plain rumours!
